What happens to mail that gets lost and never reaches its destination? How does a city rebuild after being saved by an adventuring party that leaves as soon as they receive their reward? And is that an actual peacock?
The city of Slumber is slowly rebuildig itself after being under the rule of a Lich King for who knows how long. Many people are trying to figure out what happened during that time, some just want to move on, and others want to bring him back!
A group of not actual adventurers, each with goals and motives of their own, are brought together when investigating the sudden appearance of a brand new building in the center of town. With newly appointed jobs thrust upon them, they are sent down a miriad of rabit holes, diging up a ton of secrets and closets of skeletons along the way.

The story is a D&D homebrew campaign created by one friend, and turned into a novel by the other! Certain terms and names have been changed as to not infringe on any trademark or copyright. The story is not an exact 1:1 adaptation of the original campaign. It is as close as we could get that made it easy enough to tell a coherent story in book form.
