Raze

Yesterday, I was the world’s greatest warrior. Long ago, I was a child soldier. I was a pirate, a mercenary, an opium lord, a mage-hunter. Today I am a prisoner, but this, at least, I have chosen.

The balance of all decisions, which are all of life and death, is the difference of the weight of a feather. Coffee, or wine? Go, or stay? Speak, or listen? Hesitate, or strike?

The world’s greatest warrior recalls his life, choices, and adventures, all from a cell awaiting his own execution. Beginning with the day he first took a life, Raze tells of being pressed into fighting as a child soldier, of his first meeting with the mysterious and powerful warrior Green Skive, of fighting with, and against, a mercenary band in cold mountains far from his desert home.
